Jonny Brain. Date of Birth: 11/02/1983 Height: 6' 4"

Jon played 52 times in the 2008/9 season to become only the third player to have an ever-present season in the Football League for Macclesfield Town. Brain signed initially from Port Vale in 2006, but missed most of the season after a bad injury playing in the local derby with Stockport County.
Jose Veiga. Date of Birth: 10/12/1976 Height: 6' 1"
Started out at F.C. Alverca in the Portuguese second division, in the same team as Chelsea's Portuguese international Deco. Jose then crossed the border into Spain to make127 appearances for F.C Levante in the Spanish Third Division. In 2002 Jose then moved back to his native Portugal C.F. Estrela da Amadora. Jose then decided to make a move to English football. Trials at Bury and Walsall didn't work out, and he signed for Tamworth in 2006 making 40 appearances. He has since been with Atherstone Town and Conference North side Harrogate before a short loan spell with Hereford United in League One last season. Jose has had 4 games for the Silkmen this season.
Defenders:
Carl Tremarco. Date of Birth: 11/10/1985 Height: 5' 11"
Tremarco started his career at Tranmere, making his debut in 2003, going on to make 50 starts for the club before joining Wrexham in 2007. Carl stayed with Wrexham when they lost their Football League status, rejecting offers from Chester City & the Millers. Carl played 17 times for Wrexham last season, and turned out on loan for Darlinton. The start of this season saw him join Macclesfield, and he has been ever-present in the team.
Paul Morgan. Date of Birth: 23/10/1978 Height: 6' 0"
Paul was a trainee at Preston before signing for Lincoln City in 2001, going on to make over 200 appearances for Lincoln in 6 seasons. In 2007 he made the move to Bury, from where he has come on a season long loan to Macclesfield.
Nat Brown. Date of Birth: 15/06/1981 Height: 6' 2"
Brown worked his way through the ranks at Huddersfield Town before settling down and making over 80 appearances, when he was released he was picked up by Lincoln City. In June 2008, Brown left Lincoln after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent; he joined Wrexham in the Conference a day later. Nat joined the club on an initial one month loan from Blue Square Premier league side Wrexham, this deal was made permanent in July 2009, when he signed a 2 year deal with the Silkmen.
Sean Hessey. Date of Birth: 19/09/1978 Height: 5' 10"
Whiston born Hessey previously played for, Leeds United, Wigan Athletic, Huddersfield Town, Kilmarnock, Blackpool and Chester City. Hessey is a strong in the tackler and good in the air. In the 2007-08 season Chester allowed him to join League Two rivals Macclesfield Town for a two-month loan, and in January 2008, this was extended until the end of the season, at the end of the season he was released by Chester. Hessey followed up his successful loan period by signing a two year contract with Macclesfield.
Izak Reid. Date of Birth: 08/07/1987 Height: 5' 5"
Reid came through the ranks at the Moss Rose and became a regular member of the first team in the 2007-08 season. By the time he had signed a new two year deal with the Silkmen in July 2009 he had made 78 appearances in all competitions.
Midfield:
Lee Bell. Date of Birth: 26/01/1983 Height: 5' 11"
Bell is product of the Crewe Alexandra academy system, and established himself in the first team in December 2004, starting 18 times in the remainder of the 2004-05 season, and signed a new two-year contract in June 2005. Bell joined Mansfield Town in August 2007. He made 27 appearances for Mansfield in the 2007-08 season, before suffering a serious knee injury in February 2008 that ruled him out for most of the rest of the season. After Mansfield Town were relegated to the Conference National at the end of the 2007-08 season, Bell was released by the club, and joined Macclesfield Town on a one-year contract. It was announced in April 2009 that he had been given a one-year extension to his current contract.
Paul Bolland. Date of Birth: 23/12/1979 Height: 5' 10
Experienced midfielder Paul Bolland joined Macclesfield Town on a free transfer in the summer of 2009 after leaving Grimsby. Bolland started his career with his home town team of Bradford City at the start of the 1997-98 season. After struggling to break into the first team at Bradford, Bolland signed for Notts County, initially on loan, and then permanently for £75,000, he was unexpectedly not given a contract extension by Notts County at the end of the 2004-05 season, which saw him join Grimsby Town. Paul went on to make 118 appearnces for Grimsby, scoring 13 goals.
Colin Daniel. Date of Birth: 15/02/1988 Height: 5' 11"
Daniel mostly operates on the left side of midfield or as a winger, but has also played at left-back, and as a forward. Crewe Alexandra signed Daniel from Northern Premier League side Eastwood Town in July 2007. Daniel spent some time on loan at Gray's, before being released by Crewe at the end of the 2008/09 season. Daniel joined the Silkmen on a permanent deal in July 2009.
Ross Draper. Date of Birth: 20/10/1998
Six foot four midfielder Draper began his career at Shrewsbury where he was a regular for their youth and Reserve sides before leaving the club in 2007 to join Stafford Rangers. He made a total of 31 appearances in the Conference during the 2007-08 seasons. Draper went on to join Northern Premier League Premier Division club Hednesford Town, before signing for Macclesfield in July 2009. Likley to miss the game through injury.
Hamza Bencherif. Date of Birth: 09/02/1988 Height: 5' 9
Bencherif started his career with Nottingham Forest, but never made a first-team appearance. Bencherif was loaned out to Lincoln City in October 2007, where he made 12 Football League Two appearances, scoring once. Benerchief was released by Forest at the end of the 2008-2009 season and joined Macclesfield Town on a one-year deal. Unfortunatly, Hamza suffered a broken ankle in the 3-0 defeat at Rochdale on December 5th ruling him out of Saturday's game.
John Rooney. Date of Birth: 17/12/1990 Height: 5' 11
Like his brother 'Wayne' John was formerly on the books at Everton. Rooney recently signed a two year professional contract and is expected to make a big impact during that time.
Greg Mills. Date of Birth: 18/09/1990
Gregg has been signed on loan from Derby County. He is an attacking midfielder, with a lot of pace. Gregg has made two appearances for the Rams, both times coming off the bench. Mills has scored goals on a regular basis for the Rams' under-18 side.

Ricky Sappleton. Date of Birth: 18/12/1989 Height: 5'11'' The Silkmen extended the loan of Leicester player Ricky Sappleton for a month, until the end of January. Prior to joining Leicester City, Sappleton had a trial with Liverpool, and also joined Middlesbrough on a two week trial. Sappleton has scored five goals in fourteen League appearances, of which five were from the bench. Friday 29thJan..Stapelton has been signed on a 18month contract.
Craig Lindfield. Date of Birth: 07/09/1988 Height: 6' 2"
Lindfield joined the Silkmen on a short-term contract in December 2009, after having his contract with Liverpool terminated by mutual consent. Craig has previously spent time on loan at Accrington, Notts County, Bournemouth and Chester.
Ben Wright. Date of Birth: 01/07/1980 Height: 6' 4"
Wright started out at Kettering Town and began to attract scouts from the football league, appearing twice for Leeds United in the FA Premier Academy Under-19 League before joining Bristol City for £30,000 in March 1999. Wright made two appearances for City and had a short loan spell with Woking before making a move to Norway in search of first team football. Ben spent seven years in Norway playing for Viking, IK Start and Moss FK, winning the Norwegian FA Cup, Norwegian First Division and scoring at Stamford Bridge in the UEFA Cup along the way. 2007 saw him returning to England with Lincoln City scoring 15 goals from 26 starts and eight sub appearances. Joined the Silkmen in Summer of 2009.
Matt Tipton. Date of Birth: 29/06/1980 Height: 5' 10"
Fans favourite Tipton is in his third spell with the Silkmen,he joined the club from Droylsden in the Summer of 2009, after impressing manager Keith Alexander enough to earn a one year contract after a trial. Tipton's first spell began in 2002 and saw him spend three seasons at the club scoring 14, 19 and 14 goals.
Emile Sinclair. Date of Birth: 29/12/1987 Height: 6' 0"
Sinclair joined the SIlkmen on an initial one month loan deal from Nottingham Forest midway through the 2009 January Transfer Window. After being released by Forest he signed a permanent one year deal at Macclesfield in May 2009.
