Pollitt move hits hiccup / Player coming in?

Todays Rotherham Star is reporting the Mike Pollitt's move to premiership Wigan has hit a snag.

The two clubs agreed a deal last week and now the player has been talking personal terms with the premership newbies. On Sunday the News of the World reported that the deal had hit a snag with Wigan offering the 33 year old keeper the same wages as he was on at Millmoor.

This looks to have been confirmed today with boss Mick Harford telling the Star "Hopefully, it will get sorted out very soon, Not just for our sake but for the boy's sake - he'll want to get it sorted out and then we all know what's what."

Pollitt himself wants the move, he told last weeks Rotherham Advertiser, "I'm 33 now and this would be my last cahnce of having a go in the premiership, so I'll probably go for it. If I didn't I'd regret it and maybe think I should have taken the chance."

Possible Target?
The rumoured £200k for Pollitt would go some way to bridging the funding gap for the new stand, enabling the project to go ahead.

Meanwhile it's rumoured that boss Mick Harford will be making another signing in the next couple of days. according to some posts on the messageboards, one of his main targets is former Mansfield forward Chris Greenacre who has been released by Stoke City.
