Evans spoke to themillers.co.uk yesterday and said he was hopeful everything will soon be in place.
"I'm sure that we can release full details by the end of this week. I must thank our chief operating officer Paul Douglas who has worked very diligently with me on this and all other matters since my arrival.
"Our pre-season match schedule will be testing with a real mix of opposition and styles but it is all about getting ready for the start of the new season. In addition I really hope we can have a family day at the New York Stadium. This ideally would involve an open training day; our supporters can watch the lads be put through a full in-depth training session.
"Perhaps afterwards everyone can have a good look behind the scenes, meet all the players and staff, old and new, plus see the detail behind what goes into preparing for matches."
The Millers have already lined up July friendlies against neighbours Barnsley and Sheffield United with dates to be confirmed officially in due course.
