The 20 year old left back joined the MIllers during the January transfer window, and although the move has been a big one in terms of both distance and divisions, he's settling in well he tells themillers.co.uk
"Obviously coming from Plymouth it’s a long way from home but the lads are really nice and they have helped me settle in well, In some ways, I’m still getting to know them and remember everyone’s name. It is quite hard coming into a new environment and know 20 faces and names but it’s going really well so far.
“My main aim is to try and help the team win games. It’s not just about myself. I want to contribute to the team and make it stronger. I want to get up and down the pitch, but first and foremost defend and help the team not concede as many goals.”
Purrington spoke about the jump in divisions; “Technically, the Championship is a lot higher standard but you can see the quality in our team, It will be difficult for us [to stay up] but stranger things have happened. If you get one or two wins then things would look a whole lot different and we need to stay positive.”
“The manager is trying to get everyone going again after recent results but all the players are looking to stay positive and there is little point dwelling too much on past results."
