Despite the severe lack of money and the continual slashing of playing budget's over the last few years after relegation after relegation, the club have told the Advertiser that the playing budget has been boosted a tad
Financial director Brearley told the Advertiser: "I agreed, reluctantly, to loosen the budget because not to have done so would have threatened the quality of the players we could bring in. Now we hope the decision will transfer itself into results."
"We have given Mark Robins a budget to fit into and it is performance related. There are rewards for the players if they do well. So much depends upon what goes on on the pitch. It determines where we can go."
