Put your shooting boots on - Robbo

It's been over 9 hours since the Millers scored from open play - incidently against Aldershot in the 1st FA Cup game and boss Mark Robins is urging his team to shoot on sight of the goal.

The Millers are without a league win since the end of October and the feeling of 'could we make the playoffs?' has quickly turned into avoiding relegation with Bournemouth now in positive points and just 7 behind the Millers.

Speaking to todays Tiser Robbo said; "I want us to start having a shot instead of making a pass when we're in shooting positions. We need to have a go and shoot on sight more often. It's only a matter of time before we start hitting the back of the net.

"There are goals in the team. Remember we put three past Southampton, four past Leeds and three past Chester and Morecambe — I think people are making more of this lack of goals than there is. You get spells like this in a season and every team will go through it. We've just got to be better in and around the opposition penalty area." he said.

"Teams have £5 million strikers who haven't scored for 15 games. It's about getting into positions to score goals. That's the missing ingredient." he added.

Looking past Saturdays Aldershot game is the JPT Northern are Semi final against Darlington, which could see the Millers just one game from Wembley if we can pull off a result.

"Everyone is looking forward to it, We want to get to the northern area final and give ourselves a chance of getting to Wembley. But the first thing is to beat Aldershot." Robbo said.

"They'll will come here very confident having just become the first team in our division to beat Wycombe. We've picked up only one point from the last four league games but it's what we do from now on that counts.

"We need to go out and be men for the rest of the season and pick up as many points as we can over the Christmas period and come out in a healthier position in the new year looking to climb the league."
