Evans, speaking in his regular Gaffer on a Sunday feature to the clubs official website, confirmed the forward was very much in his plans despite the new additions to his attacking line up.
"Let me be clear, this lad can play and I really like him. He is not short of admirers and I could have moved him on every week since the end of last season given the amount of League Two and League One managers that have rang me to see if he was available, he is not moving anywhere.
"Last season he did not get enough goals and there was a number of factors in that. First, he spent too much time outside the penalty box and through in-depth training routines we will change that. Another factor was that at times he was up front on his own, I cannot see that happening much next season as we will be playing to win every match we play.
"Revs is a good finisher and he will be working on that daily. One of my first tasks with him is to let him sit in the home end of the New York Stadium and let him feel the passion and desire whilst living the dream. This is something I have told all our new strikers, these guys are essential," added the boss.
Evans also confirmed talks are continuing with a forward he's now met on three occasions and that he's also keeping track on two other players that are due to start their pre-season with Championship clubs.
Transfer listed duo Ryan Cresswell and Jamie Annerson have attracted interest from fellow League Two clubs aswell as outfits in the Blue Square Premier.
