Saturday's confidence boosting win over Bradford seems to have given the club the lift it required, with Robins insisitng his chargers cannot afford to let their performance dip.
He explained: "When you take charge in difficult circumstances like last week, you hope for a positive reaction and I was delighted with the response from the team.
"If we can play like that and apply ourselves like that, then - though we are in a difficult position - we still have a chance.
"But if we drop below that standard then I won't be happy. As a team and individuals, a standard was set on Saturday."
Robins will watch tonights clash between this weekend's opponents Port Vale and Cheltenham, who themselves are in the thick of the relegation mire at the foot of League One.
He added: "I will do the job to the best of my ability. Stability is important and keeping things on an even keel here as we plan for the future."
