But with tonight's game against Bury off due to a frozen pitch, Clarke is likely to make his Millers bow at Barnet this coming Saturday.
Robins explained: "We'll get a chance to take a look at him and he'll have the opportunity to show us what he can do and earn a longer-term deal.
"We've seen him play three or four times, we've spoken to one or two people and they recommended him. He had a good spell on loan at Accrington a couple of months ago and played against us recently; in fact, he had a hand in the move for their goal."
