"It was another 90 minutes under our belt; pre-season friendlies are all about fitness and now we are ready for the next one on Saturday." he said.
"It was pleasing to keep a clean sheet and I thought we did okay while one or two of the lads played the full 90 minutes and that will do them good. It was an improvement on the last game and that's what I was looking for while the new lads are starting to together. It's never easy when there are so many newcomers but once they have the fitness under their belts they will gel a lot more.
"I was pleased with the younger players as well, they look comfortable on the ball and they will put pressure on the others as they look to break into the first team."
The Millers played 2 trialists in the game, Goalkeeper Steve Cann and Kyle Jacobs, both are expected to play against Barnsley on Saturday and a decision made on wether or not to offer them contracts at Millmoor.
