Initial speculation was that Ryan had been recalled due to the shin injury that forced him out of the weekends game against Dagenham, but rumours on the messageboard and todays Rotherham Star state that Sheffield United recalled him because he was not playing enough games.
Speaking to todays Star, Mark Robins speaks of his dissapointment of losing the youngster; "It is a disappointment for us and for the lad. He was really enjoying himself here and would love to have stayed on."
"He wasn't involved on Saturday because he limped out of training last Thursday with a shin injury and, despite treatment, wasn't fit enough to be available for the game at Dagenham." he added.
