He explained: "It's about players taking the opportunity when it comes their way and you are looking for young players to grow up pretty quickly.
"I thought Marc Newsham went on and did really well. He had been short on confidence and hadn't shown any in training for some weeks.
"But what I saw in training last week convinced me that he was ready to be considered again. He was outstanding; his confidence is back, and that's credit to him. It is easy for people to become introverted and feel sorry for themselves but he's not done that. I thought he was excellent and he took his goal really well."
Elsehwere the gaffer looks set to be without top scorer Derek Holmes tomorrow, paving the way for Newsham to earn a starting shirt. The 11 goal forward came off after half an hour with an ankle injury and Robins said: "It was a blow losing Derek but I thought we coped very well after he went off."
He continued: "We hadn't won in five and we were looking for a winning combination. If that involves including certain players then that's what we'll do.
"Whoever it is, people have to show desire and determination and work hard to justify their selection. If they don't, then they won't be in my plans.
"The supporters were excellent. They got behind us, which is what we need, and I reckon they'll be travelling up to Bradford tomorrow in numbers, like they usually do away from home."
A reminder that Millers fans can pay on the gate tomorrow at Valley Parade if they haven't got a ticket from the original postponed fixture back in December.
