Robins Issues rallying call

The Millers have potentially just six weeks to find a buyer or face administration and a points deduction for the second time in three years.

Robins, speaking at the RUST AGM last night, explained: "I got the players and staff together to explain the situation and all they were concerned about was the possibility of losing 10 points, nothing about money, just about promotion.

"We are obviously in difficult times and we will only get through this by all sticking together - and that's players, supporters, everyone connected with the club.

"The worst thing we could have now is negativity - we have all got to be positive, do what we can and ensure all the hard work does not go to waste.

"It may well galvanise us, last time there was a siege mentality and you want that about the place. The lads will be giving it 100 per cent and I'm sure we'll get an upturn in our form. Get behind them and the club," he added.

The players response seems to be a positive one as the clubs directors seek the financial boost they need from investors with tax bills rumoured to be around £400,000 outstanding.

The major stumbling block remains the £16,000 monthly rent paid to former chairman Ken Booth's company CF Booth Ltd for the lease on the clubs Millmoor ground, which runs for a further three years until 2011.
