Robins this week spoke to the Star about this weekend's test and reflected on the 4-2 home defeat to 'Dale.
"I keep banging on about it but we have to go out and perform from the first whistle. If not, then teams like Rochdale - who are a decent side - will pick us off.
"We've had an excellent run and winning seven games on the trot is marvellous. They tell me such a winning sequence has been bettered only once in the club's history. But it doesn't make you a great player when you run out for that next game. You have to prove yourself again.
"Credit them for coming back because going two down so early on knocks you and it put us on the back foot. In fact, I think we could have killed it off by half-time.
"We'd talked about getting people back here to watch us and that we're doing well, but football always has this habit of a kick in the teeth being just around the corner.
"Well, we are miles better than we showed in this game, although I'm not complaining about Rochdale deserving the win because they did. I'm sure we'll be back at it when we go to Bradford on Saturday and everyone is already up for the game."
Meanwhile, last night's reserve game against Darlington at Millmoor was postponed due to the state of the pitch after recent bad weather.
