Ronnie has made no secret that he has been trying to bring a new striker into the club to partner Alfie, but was left frustrated when Tranmere failed to get anybody themselve.
"We did a deal to send one of our lads out which would have enabled Ian to come in and I think he'd have done a great job for us - the fans would love him and I think he'll work well with Alfie."
"But it fell through at the Tranmere end. It's disappointing, but I'm sure we can get the best out of the lads we have." Ronnie added
