Ian had started his career with Tranmere and after moves to Nottingham Forest, Stockport, Burnley and Leeds he ended up back at his first club.
However earlier in the season handed in a transfer request at Prenton Park, which sparked Tranmere boss Les Parry to moan about him being tapped up by his dad!!
Despite being a striker, ITM is expected to play on the wing for the Millers.
