Moore returned to the Millers back in September after the sudden departure of Mark Robins and the entire coaching staff. The road to the play-offs has been a rocky one with a poor pitch, plenty of postponements and some poor displays all thrown in to test the gaffer.
However, Tony Stewart has backed his man in todays 'Tiser, saying; "Lest we forget, Ronnie Moore took on a club in shock after we lost Mark Robins and the adjustment to that took its toll, It took time for the manager to adjust to the players and the players to adjust to the manager."
"There was a mental block there. Ian Sharps and Danny Harrison had been moved on when they were with him at Tranmere and there were vibrations in the club. Then we had a five-week spell over winter without football and that took its toll also."
"I think Ronnie Moore has done a good job and thanks are due to him for picking up a club in shock after the loss of its manager and coming through a difficult winter to get to where we are now."
Earlier this month Stewart backed the gaffer after a poor display at Morecambe saw chants for the bosses head. Stewart has also re-evaluated his 'Championship in 3 years' ambition.
"He wants what we want, success and there's thing about Ronnie that is that he is the boss. I like his transparency and his knowledge experience. It's all about results but there's feeling he will be with Rotherham a long time."
"We've a lot to look forward to next season whether we are in League One or League Two." he added.
