Rueben Reid hands in transfer request

According to todays Rotherham Advertiser, the Millers 19 goal top scorer Rueben Reid has handed in a written transfer request.

Reid has been the target of a £100k bid from MK Dons last week, but only 3 days ago the Millers chairman Tony Stewart told Radio Sheffield that he was confident that the 20 year old would be signing a contract extension by today.

Manager Mark Robins told the 'Tiser; "We have had a transfer request from Reuben Reid which will be considered at a meeting on Monday when I will speak to the chairman and the directors. We will make a decision from there."

"I will be disappointed to lose him but if it's his wish to move then so be it. Reuben will command a fee and if someone matches our valuation, we won't stand in his way."
