With Ronnie Moore revealing on Saturday that a player would be brought in today, Adam Rundle turned out to be the player he was chasing.
Rundle has signed on a one month emergency loan deal to replace the injured Paul Warne.
Adam has had 5 starts with Dale this season scoring one goal. His previous clubs are Carlisle, Mansfield Town and Darlington.
Speaking to The Millers Official Site, themillers.co.uk Adam said: "The lads have made me feel welcome straight away.
"Obviously I knew a few of the lads from playing against them in my time, and everything went very well this morning. I know Adam Le Fondre from my Rochdale days and since Adam moved here we became best mates off the field. He has kept telling me how much he loves it here so it was nice to join up with him again today."
On the Rochdale Official Site, rochdaleafc.co.uk Rochdale Manager Keith Hill said:
"If I'm being perfectly honest it would have been better if Adam wouldn't have gone but I won't stand in the way of anyone who wants to play football.
"Adam asked a couple of weeks ago if there was a possibility of him going out on loan and he needs games because he wasn't starting regularly. When we enquired about Jason Taylor Ronnie Moore suggested we could do a deal and it is a move that suits all parties.
"We cannot wait for players to get the inconsistencies out of the their game or play out of poor form. Adam is an excellent player but he now has the opportunity to play a few games for Rotherham."
