RUSC make Tivoli switch

After several seasons of building up the clubroom in the Prince, the committee decided it was time for a change. The Prince continue to support RUFC in accomodating fundraising efforts and providing a friendly atmosphere and quality service on matchdays.

Yesterday, RUSC released this statement to the football club:

The decision was taken after meetings with the new owners, who were keen to build closer ties with the Supporters Club, after listening to the views of our members and due to the fact that the Supporters Club has grown significantly in the last few years. Unfortunately our old clubroom is unable to accommodate our increase.

Initially we will be able to cater for approx 350 of our members with the possibility of increasing this to over 700 in the future, whereas our old clubroom could only cater for approx 100 people.

Our new base will also enable us to cater more for our Junior and Family members, which we see as an important part of the Supporters Club in the future. It is also intended to utilise the new room by holding social functions during the close season, as well as during the following season.

This decision to move has not been made lightly, but we believe that with the Supporters Club now being based at the ground, we will be able to develop closer links with not only the club but with our members and the community in general.

With regards to coach ticket sales for the Swansea and Colchester away games, they are on sale in the Tivoli from 12.30 - 2.30pm on Saturday, 6.15 - 7.15pm on Tuesday 11th, and 6 -8pm on Thursday 13th. Both games priced at £15.
