Earlier in the week members of the Supporters Club handed over a cheque for £12,000 which has been raised via the selling of Millermen CD's, raffles and a donation from RUSC funds.

Sheffield Wednesday have also handed over the money from their two collections from their last couple of home games, which amounted to over £8,000.

The Millers own Football In The Community project, headed by former player Mark Todd also held a penalty shoot out competition which raised over £3,000.

Toddy told the official site, "Rotherham United is a huge part of so many people's lives and working in the Community, like we do, you fully appreciate how important the football club is and how much it is loved."

Meanwhile, another way of donating to the SOM campaign was launched today. ANY branch of the Barnsley Building Society will be able to take donations for the campaign. The Barnsley also promotes the Millers account which makes over £10k for the club a year.

The club are expecting the total to pass the £150k mark next week with a lot more fundraising events coming this weekend, including the family fun day at Millmoor this Sunday.
