The Millers are aiming to knock out higher division opponents for the fourth year in a row at Don Valley after previously beating Wolves on penalties, Southampton and Derby in the competition.
And Scott is under no illusions it will be a tough test as he comes up against Sven Goran-Eriksson, who's spent big over the summer with 11 new signings.
He told the clubs website: "Apart from the three teams that came down from the Premiership, Leicester will be the favourites from the rest.
"It will be a very tough game no matter what side they put out, but we are looking forward to having a right good go at causing an upset."
Midfielder Schofield added: "Leicester are one of the best teams in the Championship and have spent a lot of money, but we will give it 110%, like we will in all games and hopefully we can cause an upset.
"A win on the opening game of the season in front of our own fans against a well fancied team will give us plenty of confidence. We have no reason to fear anyone."
