Despite winning their first three league games on the spin and Scott picking up the manager of the month award in August, the Millers have lost the last four on the bounce in the league and won just twice in the last ten games.
But Stewart, who secured 14 acres of land to build the clubs new centre of excellence on Bawtry Road yesterday, says the manager deserves success.
“The preparation and hard work Andy puts in deserves results. The effort he and his backroom staff put in is fautless. I think Andy and his team are the people to do what is needed to get us back to winning ways and I’m prepared to back Andy to do what’s right", Stewart told the Star.
“It does help when we get a good crowd down at the Don Valley Stadium,” he added ahead of Saturdays game with Shrewsbury. “We have got to give the players encouragement.
“It helps when everyone is supporting each other. We played fantastically against Gillingham so we have to help the players get back to that level of performance.”
