Scott praised Alfie's start to the new season after he returned to training fitter than ever - and insists that the players have a different belief and ideas about working together in game situations which will get the best out of them.
The boss singled out Alf for special praise this week, speaking to the Tiser.
He said: "Alfie's work rate against Oxford and Leicester was excellent. He was unfortunate not to get a goal on Tuesday because he had a couple of chances in the first half and in the second half he looked a threat and caused their centre-halves problems.
"He chased back from the edge of his box to catch a winger and I don't think anyone has seen that. But since he's been back we've seen it every day in training.
"There's a different mentality to the players. Before he was given license not to work hard because he's a goalscorer but he now realises there's a lot more to his game than just goals. He will still have lots of chances and the goals will come."
Andy added: "if we all press together then we can win the ball back together and in Alfie's case be in a position to give it to him high up the pitch in areas he can do damage."
