Scott told the Advertiser; “We have got to aim for the top next year. I don’t want to be in the play-offs. I want to be on holiday watching them having won automatic promotion and that will be the aim from the first day of preseason."
“I’m pleased with what I’ve seen from individuals and they’ve given me food for thought of how I can fit others around them. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the quality of some of the players and working closely with them you realise they can do some things you didn’t realise they could do before."
“I don’t want players who are desperate to come here, because that means they’ve got no-one else, I want players that I’ve got to persuade to come here and believe in what we are doing and buy into the project.” he added.
“My teams are very organised and will work hard and be together as a group, No matter whether you play well or play badly, that will happen every game because I will bring a team together with that quality."
“Added to the quality that we have here and the quality that is coming in, for me that will be the winning formula and it’s the formula that has been successful for me."
“This is a great profession to be in and a great job. In fact I don’t even see it as a job to go and play in front of a group of fans who would love to be in your position. It’s a privilege they should take on board and embrace and enjoy because it is great at the end of the season when everyone is calling you a hero.”
