Monday's trip to Macclesfield Town kicks off the run, with another away game at Cheltenham next Friday followed by a Yorkshire derby at home to Bradford City.
Scott said: “Macclesfield away is always a tricky one, especially on Boxing Day. Cheltenham have been one of the form teams and it's a very tough place to go so we know we have two tough away fixtures. Bradford will be a big game on January 2 and we need to finish this spell of games with as many points as possible because we are going to lose a fixture the Saturday after (due to scheduled opponents Gillingham's involvement in the FA Cup) and be a game behind.
"We don't want to lose touch and be chasing all the time, we want to be ahead of the game. Obviously the weather might play a part but hopefully the matches go ahead and we can get them all under our belts and put plenty of points on the board.”
Scott also needs to sort out the futures of lonees Brett Williams, Jon Harley, Sam Wood, Guy Branston and Conrad Logan.
Williams' loan expires after the Macclesfield game, but the other players are free to line up against Bradford - apart from Branston due to the terms of his loan from his parent club.
