With the squad given the weekend off due to the cancellation of the Gillingham clash, Scott has been focusing on his transfer targets to strengthen the side.
He spoke to Millersplayer and said: "We've got plenty of options and we are trying to attract the players we want to bring in without rushing into anything, but to make sure we get the right people in place to face Swindon.
"Initially I'd like to fetch in a couple of new faces. Obviously Troy (Brown) has gone to Aldershot and if anymore follow him out of the club then we can use that money to replace them."
Scott is thought to be tracking Falkirk winger Jack Compton, whilst also keeping tabs on Jon Harley's situation at Notts County.
Harley came on as a substitute over the weekend after returning to Meadow Lane from his loan spell. For a deal to be struck to see him return to Don Valley, Harley and County would have to agree a pay off on his current contract.
Meanwhile, Scott has also been given a boost after Ryan Cresswell and Mark Bradley returned to training.
