The Millers opened up their League Two season with a win against Oxford last weekend and now travel to Home Park to get their longest trip this season out of the way at the first hurdle.
They travel on the back of a promising firat half against Leciester in the Carling Cup during the week, despite eventually losing 4-1.
And Scott is demanding some attractive football and three points from his players.
"It's a long way to go and we want to make sure that we go down there and come away with a good result. Plymouth drew at Shrewsbury last week which is a good result and they played a couple of different players on Tuesday. We aren't going to underestimate them and we know we have to go there and play the way that we can play and try and combat whatever they throw at us," said the gaffer.
"Peter Reid is a very good manager and excellent coach and whatever side he puts out will be well drilled and organised but we want to get off the mark in our first away game and get some points on the board - next up is Crewe so they are two tough games.
"We will prepare properly for Plymouth and make sure we are aware what they can do but make sure we exert our style on the game. It's important that we concentrate on the way we set up and that we can iron out the little mistakes we made in the first couple of games.
"We want to win the game, play some attractive football and get points on the board early," added Andy.
