Scott recently singled out the wide man for praise for operating at the back and then further forward, making promising starts to games but says he needs to do it on a more regular basis..
"He’s the most frustrating player I’ve got because he has so much potential", said Scott talking to the Star.
Marshall ran Accrington ragged for 45 minutes and was a real handful at Torquay, but he was replaced in the second half of both those matches and then last week against Southend at Don Valley.
“He needs to show that potential and be at it every week and make it a regular occurrence rather than a one-off. He can tear people apart, he can damage opponents and I’m asking him to do something he’s good at.”
Scott watched the reserves 2-1 win against Hull last night with the goals coming from Ben Pringle and young sub Georgio Williams, and added that all players will be given an opportunity at some stage if they impress him.
"We've only lost two in 10. You don’t become a bad group overnight, but you have to nip it in the bud very quickly and if there are changes to be made then so be it."
