Speaking to the clubs official website, Warney waxed lyrical; “He's athletic, he's a big lad and I've had good reports on him, I've spoken to three different managers that have had him and all of them speak highly of him."
“We've got experience at the back and I've highlighted that I needed to sign a centre half with pace. I think our lines have been quite good but we can get done with a ball over the top because we do lack that little bit of pace.”
“He hasn't played a lot so he's probably a little bit raw but if he can come in and be big and strong for me at the back then I'll be happy with him, I'm really pleased that he's chosen to come and join us so I'll look forward to seeing him play tomorrow night if selected."
“He's a nice kid, was happy to come and wanted to come, which is a big part of it. He wants to come and play football and he's the same as all my lads. I said to them today, I'm trying to sign players and you'll be upset with some of them because they're going to come in to take your jerseys, but if the lads who play perform well then I won't drop them."
