The Millers centre back seemed encouraged by the second half display after a poor showing in the first 45 minutes.
Speaking to
www.themillers.co.uk, he explained: "It was an exhausting game and we were very disappointed to come away with nothing.
"The weather conditions were not great with the blustery winds - we didn't do great in the first half but got back into the game after the break.
"I was quite disappointed not to see the referee give the goal from Martin Woods and really think David Worrell should have been awarded a free kick from the foul just before Gillingham went ahead.
"The fans were great, they made a very long trip and we were clapped as we left the pitch, this was very much appreciated by the lads."
