A 15 acre peice of private land will be home to the Millers if present negotiations come to fruition.Speaking in todays 'Tiser, Tony Stewart gave some more details on the 'exciting news'; "It is a comfortable location for Rotherham United and it suits Rotherham Borough Council, who have worked with us on this project. We've put a bid in to the owners and environmental tests are being done to ensure the site is OK."
"Things are looking good but there are still issues to work through. However, I hope I will be in a position to make an announcement soon."
According to the Advertiser, previous sites such as Meadowbank, Thornhill Rec and a site near to London and Scandinavian at Canklow are now no longer under consideration.
"We've looked at more than 25 available sites around the borough but this one emerged six to eight weeks ago. We feel it's the best available." Tony added.
