The 24 year old defender played under former Miller Richie Barker at Bury, and speaks well of his former gaffer as he talks to the 'Tiser ahead of tomorrows game at Crawley; "I've played down at Crawley before. It's not the biggest ground but it's quite a big pitch. The crowd create a good atmosphere and obviously they've got Richie, who managed me and David Worrall at Bury."
“I know what he's like as a manager, he likes to play attractive football. I don't think any of the lads who had him at Bury have a bad word to say about him. He's an enthusiastic young manager who wants to learn and he did really well at Crawley last year. Richie also did good work at Bury and me and David will be looking forward to seeing him again and saying hello.”
Meanwhile he took the chance to look at the Millers start to life in League 1 and last weekends goal-less draw against highly tipped Preston North End and said; “That was a bit of a cagey encounter after both our cup wins earlier in the week. It was a tough ask to match our game and theirs which I saw on telly. It was two evenly matched teams not wanting to give too much away because it is still early in the season."
“After conceding three at Crewe we wanted to get a clean sheet and understandably so because it wasn't good enough from a defensive point of view. We'll take a point and move on.” he added
