Morgan has been given the skippers armband after the departure of Johnny Mullins, and the boss has been singing his praises after a three game unbeaten start to the season.
Evans said to the Advertiser: “I pick my captains by people who lead by example and probably don't always want the limelight. I picked Ian Sharps and Johnny Mullins for the right reasons and I've done the same with Craig.
“Craig is an important player for us and someone whose opinions I respect. He's the type who, over the season, will give me everything he has got. He won't play every week, because no-one will, but he is certainly one of the names you will be looking to have on your team sheet.”
