After being Leyton Orient on Saturday the Millers are handily placed in fifth spot in League One, but Steve Evans believes the top three sides will battle it out for automatic promotion.
"The top three are getting extraordinary results," Evans said. "Leyton Orient were top a few weeks ago and Russell Slade must have been shaking his head because they were only a point clear after being on an incredible run.
"Normally if you go on a run like they have been or Brentford are on now you've got automatic promotion sorted and the flip-flops on in February but none of the top three have.
"It is between Brentford, Wolves and Leyton Orient for the top two and we are going to have to do battle with five teams to get in the play-offs.
"If we can keep where we are it's extraordinary progress."
