Stewart confident of new Reid contract

Reid has just a year left on his current deal and as first reported at MillersMAD a few weeks ago, contract talks have been ongoing about an extension as several higher division clubs show an interest.

And Stewart said: "I would think by the end of the week it should be resolved.

"Reuben's advisors are keen to get something done so the signs are good. We are very close."

The 20 year-old finished as last seasons top scorer with 19 goals and was the subject of an alledged 100K bid from MK Dons last week.

Leicester and Derby are also believed to be tracking Reid's progress.
