Progress at the new stadium site shows the project is on course to hit its target and Stewart says the footballing authorities are pleased with progress.
Stewart told todays Tiser: "We have had four years to get back into Rotherham and we are hitting that deadline. We're in regular contact with the Football Foundation and the Football League and I have to say they have been very helpful because they understand that in financial climates like today's, it is not easy to do what we're doing.
"We're confident we won't have to pay the bond. Chesterfield's new stadium was an 11 month build. We've got nine months left and a lot work has been done. The weather has helped a great deal."
Stewart also confirmed that July 11 next year remains the opening date. "That fits in nicely to be able to kick off here in August for the 2011/12 season and hopefully it will be in League One.
"Everything is going to plan and on schedule," he concluded.
