In the summer many people doubted wether or not he had the cash to buy the club, but according to the Rotherham Advertiser he proved it to them that he had, but the deal died after an arguement over the top car park land and Freemans failure to place a deposit in the NatWest Bank.
Since Booth's announcement that he wanted to retire back in Decmeber last year, RUST has been trying to get people intrested and to build a group to take the club over, and RUST have gained the help of several people and made a deal with which the club have agreed to in principle, however the contributors didnt want to proceed with the deal. Other parties have been in contact with the club but nothing concrete has happened and RUST are still looking for backers. Freeman has apparently being proving his worth with the FA in a bid to big up his new attempt??
On the playing side Jason Norville has been allowed to leave after playing in Wednesdays reserves outing on trial.
