Speaking to todays 'Tiser, Cocko admitted that the game had a certain amount of deja~vu for him; "I have gone out of this competition in similar circumstances in the past thinking that a home replay was just a stroll, Forest Green will be as focused and as workmanlike as they were last time and it will be just as hard for us."
"Unless we get our heads right then we could find ourselves in an embarrassing situation." he warned.
Coughlan then went on to honeslty admit that the first half showing from the Millers last Sunday was unacceptable; "We were very poor, We knew what to expect but we didn't get out of the blocks. We looked as if we were still on the bus or in the hotel. You just can't go to places like Forest Green in the FA Cup and perform the way we did in the first half. It just wasn't good enough and that was spelt out to us at half time. We took a rollicking from Mark and Breck and we took it on board and showed great character to come back and put in a bit of a shift in the second half."
"Talk is cheap, It's OK talking before the game but you've got to perform on the day and if you don't then all the talk in the world isn't worth its salt. We know it wasn't good enough. It was a totally different Rotherham United last week to what you've seen in previous games. The cup is a distraction for us but for clubs like Forest Green it's their competition and it's what they enjoy and get themselves up for. It was their cup final. They live for days like that and they wanted to show that they should be pros and that they should be playing league football week in, week out."
"They've worked hard to get this far in the FA Cup and fair play to them. They did well but that's cup football. If it had been a league match then it would have been a totally different game." he added.
Coughlan also stressed his dissapointment with Stuart Fleetwood's 2 goal haul; "The guy only touched the ball a few times in the first half but came away with two goals and, speaking as a central defender, that was very disappointing. I take it on board whether I'm anywhere near the ball or not. I want to keep a clean sheet."
"I have been negative but ultimately we're still in the FA Cup, we're going well in the league and we're still on a unbeaten run."
