The 21-year-old Newcastle utility player has been a hit at New York in the first few weeks of his spell, helping the Millers consolidate themselves in the League One play-off positions.
While most other people will be enjoying the festive spirit, Tavernier and his team-mates are remaining focused on the task at hand with games against Wolves, Bradford, Port Vale and Coventry.
And he is relishing the quickfire nature of the Christmas period.
"You always get a good amount of games over Christmas and we can pick a lot of points," Tavernier said.
"It's a great thing for me, I love the games to come quicker than every Saturday, I'd want two games a week normally.
"But it's a great feeling when you have back-to-back games when you are playing well. So I'm really looking forward to the games coming up."
