Moore told The Star: "It is coming to a stage where we have to see whether Ryan will develop.
"He is our best player by miles in training so if he can reproduce that form on the big stage then we have got a hell of a player.
"Ryan isn't brilliant in the air but he is quick and has a great left foot so the time is going to come sooner rather than later when we have to see what the kid is about and what he can do.
"If he can take the confidence that he shows in training on to the big stage, then it might be that we are looking for a right winger rather than a centre forward.
"Ryan is on the bench nearly every week but I have to make a decision on how long we are going to wait for him. Do we wait for him or do we take his armbands off and throw him in the deep end?
"We have three games next week so somewhere along the lines we will get a look at Ryan."
The Star also report that Moore is set to take a look at Manchester United's reserves tonight Moore, added:
"We still need a little bit of pace in the team. We have Nicky Law in midfield and Ryan up front but we need some legs in the side."
