“I’ve watched him a few times and I thought he was immense on Saturday. He’s a young lad with a lot of potential and all he was missing was a goal. For a young lad to dominate two experienced centre-halves like he did was impressive." Scott told the Advertiser.
“I intend to try and get him to stay. Good centre-forwards are at a premium and we’ve got one. He’s come through the youth set-up and I’ve already spoken to Paul Douglas about his contract situation and Nicky Law is also out of contract and he’s under 24 too. We don’t want to lose them and we need to make sure we do our best to keep them here.”
“I’ll be speaking to Ryan about my plans for the future and what I can do for him and how he can progress and hopefully that will interest him because it would be a shame if he left Rotherham now and stopped playing regular first team football. At his age it’s vital he continues his development and I believe I’m the right man to help him with that."
“He showed on Saturday he’s a massive asset to the team.”
