The 25 year-old Nigerian, who can play upfront or in midfield if required has played in Spain, Portugal, Finland, China and the United States and says he is now happy to join up with Rotherham after his pre-season trial appearances.
Speaking to Millersplayer this morning, Jeremiah or 'Jerry' as he likes to be known, said: "It's been a hard one but I thank God for making it work because I really wanted to play for Rotherham.
"The lads are OK and the gaffer is great and during my trials here I just felt at home."
Ani played in Poland's top division in 2009 and has also had spells with Notts County and Plymouth in this country.
"I've signed for a month and I will take it day by day and I will give my best each day in training. If the gaffer wants me to run around I will and if he wants me to stay up front I will. I've travelled a lot and got experience abroad and I'm hoping to be able to use it and help the team do well," he added.
