The quality in the squad has gone up - Robbo

The players have been back a week, and the gaffer gives his thoughts so far.
"All the players have stuck to their close-season programmes and are fitter than they were last season. The work that they are doing has brought better fitness results than last year. The quality has gone up and I'm pleased with the squad. They are looking good."
 
"But the weather hasn't helped. Usually it's red hot in pre-season, but it's hardly stopped raining since we got back. We have a behind-closed-doors game against Mansfield next week as we get ready for the first friendly at home to Walsall next Saturday." he added.

"The new lads are fitting in well. Tom Pope looks different class and he'll be a quality signing—but everyone has impressed me so far. The squad has certainly moved on and we're now working towards the friendly games and making sure we're as ready as we can be when the season starts."
