Speaking to the Star, Ronnie spoke about the sticky patch and getting stick from the crowd at Morecambe; "Some fans had had a 'pop' at me during the game and it's never nice getting stick, It happened then and the other time had been when we lost at Darlington."
"I had a chat with the players afterwards and was as honest as I could be. I said that if ever you did not want a manager then you would give a performance like the one you've just given. I told them, who knows, there could be somebody else in charge on Monday."
"Things do take time in this job and I think there was a case for saying players had to adjust to changing from Mark Robins to me and that it took some adjusting."
"That's all behind us now. The players had a great approach to the final part of the season bar the Hereford game and we know what was behind that - minds were on other things."
"Now we're all looking forward to a big day at Wembley on Sunday." he added.
