Whilst we've already touched on Burton's written transfer request, It was confirmed today that full back Scott Minto may well be out of action for upto a month after having ankle surgery this week.
Physio Denis Circuit has been speaking about Minto's problem to the official site: "Scott has been troubled with his achilles for some time now and the operation saw his ankle cleared out. It was discovered that there were some pieces of bone causing problems and hopefully that has now been cleared up although he has to be non-weight bearing for a week or so. Then we can start him on some light work but it will be around a month or so before he can return to full training as he will have to rebuild slowly."
Circuit also confirmed Andy Monkhouse has suffered a slight setback. The winger has a swollen knee but hopes to be fit for Boxing Day to face Huddersfield Town.
Meanwhile, off the field Rotherham Council today approved the opening of the new main stand at Millmoor. 1,343 seats to be exact are available on a first come first serve basis for season ticket holders for the Huddersfield game. The seats for directors and sponsors are marked accordingly. The opening will see the ground capacity rise to 8,330. With only 100 or so covered tickets left in the whole ground, and the rest on Millmoor Lane uncovered, the biggest crowd of the season will be looking for the Millers to claim back to back victories.
