Time to forget Robbo and co - Harrison

Speaking to the 'Tiser, Danny wasnt suprised when another club came calling for Robins services; "I wasn't surprised, not with the start we've had, Barnsley is only just up the road and as soon as they parted company with Simon Davey you could put two and two together and realise our manager might get a phone call."

"He is one of the better ones I've worked with. He was unfortunate that in the two seasons before this one he'd been hampered by points deductions. I know we would have finished fifth last season but there's no telling where we might have been the season before had we not lost points. I think he has paid his dues at this level and at Rotherham really with all the deductions." he added.

"I always knew he had ambition and I heard him say in one of his interviews that it's not every day a Championship club comes knocking. Players and managers move on; it's the nature of the game. Whether the manager goes because he's been sacked or has moved on to better things, us players just have to get on with it."

Harrison then spoke about former boss Ronnie Moore being in the running for the Millers hotseat; "Obviously with his history here and being out of work at the minute, people are going to link him. I didn't play too much under him at Tranmere but I worked with him. The chairman has said he is going to take his time over the appointment and I'm sure he'll pick the right man for the job."

"In the meantime, we're playing for our places and for any potential managers who might be watching in the stand. We're in the top three in the league and these are all good things to play for."

"Obviously it's different not having a permanent boss around giving us guidance but the skills of the game are something we practice week in and week out and there's enough senior pros in the changing room who are wise in the game to see us through."

"I must say that the training that Steve Thornber and Paul Warne have put on has been class on so there's been no excuses from that point of view. Andy Liddell has had input as well. He's been around and played at a higher level."

Harrison then turned his thoughts to last weeks 0-0 draw against Morecambe; "Other days, a couple of the chances we had would have gone in, No-one would have argued if we had walked away with the win, especially on the evidence of the second half, when they didn't cause us any sort of problem really."

"The onus is on us at home to break sides down but when they come wanting a point and stick all those men behind the ball, it is hard. We'll settle for a point without being over the moon with it. It would have topped off the week to have won but at least we didn't lose." he added.
