"Like most managers we talk constantly about players and whos free and whos got what left on contracts etc, thats part and parcel of the game at the moment, we're all trying to find the best player for the best deal."
"I'm looking at all aspects of the team, I think we do need a new influx of players and that no disrespect to the players we have. Harford has made enquirys about some players and has meetings planned for next week he told Radio Sheffield, "Your always on the phone and talking to people, I have two meetings this week, one in Manchester and one in Derby, So your out and about."

The interviewer then moved onto Mick turning down the assistant managers job at Man City, to which Mick gave some background and the reason why he turned it down.
"On the day that I was appointed manager at Rotherham, Stuart Pearce said to me that if I (Pearce) get the job will you consider to come with me? and true to his word, he's a top bloke Stuart Pearce, he rang me up on holiday and offered me the position."

I felt loyallty to Rotherham and I hope I can bring them some success."
