Harford is hoping that his second signing of the season will be joining the Millers this week, although he has missed out on one of his transfer targets due to geographical reasons he told todays Rotherham Star.
Rumours are that the player that is due to come in is out of contract Hartlepool United defender Chris Westwood. Westwood originally comes from the Midlands and a move nearer there is apparently appealing to him.
Harford watched Westwood during the League one play-off final against the pigs, unfortunately Westwood was sent off during the game and will be missing for the start of the season.

Meanwhile the Millers seem to be missing out on former Wednesday midfielder Matty Hamshaw, with other clubs coming in for the 23 year old with Hull City amongst the favorites.

The Millers have also been linked with Shrewsbury striker Luke Rogers, media reports down there said Walsall, Crewe and Us are in the frame for the 23year old.
Because Rodgers is under 24, he will command a compensation clause, his agent told the Shropshire Star

Mick Harford also told the Rotherham Star that he has recieved no bids at all for any of the current squad that he has told can leave the club. No doubt this will also be hindering his attempts to bring in new blood to the club.
