Veal thanks fans 16/5/05

The last week had seen the amount donated more than double and at tonights latest count, Millers fans had donated nearly £200,000 to the RUST appeal for the new stand.

David Veal told the clubs official website themillers.co.uk "This is a fantastic achievement, I am so proud of the fans who have donated to the cause."

"We have a come a long way in a short time, but we are still short of our target so I would urge all of our supporters who have not donated to do so by midday tomorrow (May 17)."

"It doesn't matter how big or small the donation, please do not let down fellow fans by not giving a donation." he added.

Work is hoped to be starting on the construction of the new stand this month, and the money raised so far will go some way to ensuring that.

The clubs Share Issue ends tomorrow at Noon, Although it is likely that the fundraising effort will continue although RUST will not benefit with any shares after tomorrows deadline has passed.
